The Project:
Reliable station doors and a thorough maintenance contract is a must to ensure that crews are available to respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day.
HAG were tasked over the summer with fitting Q Doors to 4 of their fire stations, which provide a high level of thermal insulation, long term cost savings, security and cosmetically enhances the look of the building.
This is a flexible bi-folding product, for example, if there were space restrictions, we have the ability to fit them externally thus giving more room in the actual appliance bays. There are several options to make your Q Door bespoke to your particular needs, for example insulated double glazed windows within the door panels, the colour, and manual or electric operation.
The Q Doors sealing system complies with top European requirements, and still met them at 3 times the required test pressure! (The top European class 3 for air leakage describes air leakage (T Value) as at best 1.5m3/m2/h at 50 Pa pressure. i.e. 1.5m3/m2/h to 150 Pa).
HAG is continuing to provide regular maintenance and keep the door working well and enabling the customer to meet its legal obligations.
