Fifty years of deliveries
Fifty years of deliveries, and the door still works. The only worn parts are the wear parts. Thin bottom seals, gaping ventilation dampers. Not that it matters much in an unheated storeroom.
Then comes the thing that must not happen.
A tractor moving a container drives into the door. The steel takes a dent. The concrete wall cracks.
The door holds. The wall does not.
The crack is barely visible, but wide enough to shift the opening so the door no longer locks. Hence the notes in capitals.
Which is an expensive problem for a shop with a storeroom full of skis and bikes. A new door takes weeks to get hold of, and the staff have to secure the place every evening before they go home.
Fredrik, who works in the shop, says: "We put a 300 kilo pallet inside the door so nobody could break in."
It worked. In July 2026 the sports shop got a new bi-folding door. From us again, even though our last one only lasted fifty years.
